The Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Wisconsin Badgers meet in college basketball action from the Kohl Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will try to finish the season on a high after back-to-back wins following a 78-70 win over Ohio State last time out. Bryce McGowens leads the Cornhuskers in scoring with 17.2 PPG along with 5.3 RPG while Alonzo Verge Jr. has 13.8 PPG with 4.4 RPG and a team-high 5.3 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for the Huskers so far this season while leading Nebraska in assists. Derrick Walker has 9.1 PPG with a team-high 6 RPG to lead the Cornhuskers on the glass. As a team, Nebraska is averaging 73.4 PPG on 44.1% shooting from the field, 32.3% from three and 72.6% from the foul line while allowing 79 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field and 35.1% from three this season.

The Wisconsin Badgers will try to build on their five-game win streak after a 70-67 win over Purdue last time out. Johnny Davis leads the Badgers with 20.3 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 2.3 APG while Brad Davison has 14 PPG and 4.1 RPG and Tyler Wahl has 11.5 PPG with 5.7 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Wisconsin this season. Steven Crowl also has 9.3 PPG and 4.5 RPG as well this season for the Badgers. As a team, Wisconsin is averaging 70.9 PPG on 42.8% shooting from the field, 31.6% from three and 74.6% from the foul line while allowing 66.2 PPG on 43.5% shooting from the field and 32.9% from three this season.

Nebraska is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 road games against a team with a home winning percentage above .600. Wisconsin is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400.

I get the case to be made either way here, as Wisconsin’s hot right now. However, the Badgers have the conference regular season title locked up, and Nebraska’s been a thorn in the side of a lot of teams in the Big Ten this season. I mean the last couple of games against Penn State and Ohio State, Nebraska was a heavy road underdog and they won the game outright. Not sure they do that again here, but we’re getting too many points in this one. Give me the Cornhuskers here.
