The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons will look to rebound from a 60-52 loss at the hands of Northwestern in their last game. Bobby Planutis leads the Mastodons in scoring with 13.5 PPG along with 5.8 RPG while Jarred Godfrey has 13 PPG with 6.7 RPG and a team-high 5 APG to lead the Mastodons in the assist department up to this point in the year. Deonte Billups has 11.3 PPG with 4.3 RPG while Quinton Morton-Robertson also has 11 PPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Purdue Fort Wayne up to this point in the season. Ra Kpedi also has a team-high 7.8 RPG to lead the Mastodons on the glass. I get that anything can happen on a neutral floor and EMU does have some decent ATS numbers this season. However, Eastern Michigan’s still played three games away from home and has lost all three, including a demoralizing loss to Bradley and they’ve had serious defensive issues out of the gate. So has Purdue Fort Wayne in fairness, but they’ve at least shown more fight on the defensive end and should be able to find success against the Eagles’ defense. Not one I’m rushing to bet, but I’d back Purdue Fort Wayne here.
