The Drexel Dragons and the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Germain Arena. Drexel is 3-1 and coming off a Monday win over TX-Arlington. As for Florida Gulf Coast, they’re sitting at 3-2 overall. The Eagles beat Northern Kentucky in their Monday game. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Drexel began their 2022-23 season with a matchup versus Old Dominion. The Dragons managed a 71-59 win in that one, then fell to Penn 64-59 in game two. Drexel rebounded with an 85-45 win over Arcadia last Friday.

In the Monday matchup versus Texas-Arlington, Drexel took a 29-25 edge into halftime. The Dragons gave up just 13 points in the second half in a 59-38 win. Coletrane Washington led the team on 22 points and three rebounds.

Over on the Florida Gulf Coast side, they beat USC in their opener 74-61 to kick the year off right. The Eagles lost to San Diego 79-73 then took a 105-61 win over Ave Maria. FGCU then fell to Tennessee 81-50 in game four.

On Monday versus Northern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast had a nice offensive night. The Eagles scored 48 points in the second half in an 82-61 win. Zach Anderson led the team with 20 points, six rebounds and two assists.

PICK: I’m going to try Florida Gulf Coast in this one. The Eagles shot 41.4 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range in the Monday win. FGCU had a 35-26 rebounding advantage along with 15 team assists in a pretty well-rounded game. If the Eagles can come out with a quick early pace, I think they can keep that momentum up in a cover.
