LSU vs Arkansas 12/28/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Arkansas Razorbacks and the LSU Tigers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Arkansas is 11-1 overall following a win over UNC Asheville in their last appearance. As for LSU, they’re sitting at 11-1 as well. The Tigers beat East Tennessee State in their last game. Arkansas’ lone loss came to Creighton on November 22. It’s been wins over ND State, Fordham, SD State, Louisville, SDSU, Troy, San Jose State, UNCG, Oklahoma, Bradley and UNC Asheville otherwise this year. 

In the UNC Asheville game back on Wednesday, the Razorbacks were up 44-24 by halftime. Arkansas scored another 41 points from there and took the win 85-51. Jalen Graham put up 16 points in 19 minutes of work to lead the team. 

Over on the LSU side, their one loss was to Kansas State. The Tigers have wins otherwise over UMKC, Arkansas State, New Orleans, Illinois State, Akron, Wofford, TX-Arlington, Wake Forest, NC Central, Winthrop and East TN State. 

In the matchup versus East Tennessee State, the Tigers entered the second half up 37-24. LSU had to hang on but eventually won it 72-68. KJ Williams was the top team scorer with 28 points and 12 rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Arkansas. The Razorbacks have been quite impressive so far this season. They’ve scored well with 71 or more points in all but one game, and Arkansas has a combined 161 points over their last pair of outings. As for LSU, they haven’t been slouches either during this six-game win streak. The Tigers have hit 67 or more points in five of those games and should be able to keep up reasonably well here. I think it’ll be an interesting matchup but I still like Arkansas better cover-wise.
