The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks and the Morehead State Eagles meet in college basketball action from the Ellis T. Johnson Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks will attempt to snap a three-game losing streak after a 98-94 loss to Tennessee Tech last time out. Eric Reed Jr. leads Southeast Missouri State in scoring with 15.6 PPG while Phillip Russell is right behind with 14.5 PPG and 3 APG. Chris Harris has 10 PPG with 2.8 APG to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Southeast Missouri State so far this season. Nygal Russell also has a team-high 6.7 RPG to lead the Redhawks on the glass this season. As a team, Southeast Missouri State is averaging 75.1 PPG on 43.4% shooting from the field, 33.9% from three and 73.6% from the foul line while allowing 78 PPG on 45.6% shooting from the field and 35.8% from three this season.

The Morehead State Eagles will look to build on a 68-60 win over UT-Martin last time out. Johni Broome leads the Eagles in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double per game with 16.6 PPG and 10.6 RPG while Skyelar Potter has 10.7 PPG and 5.1 RPG and Tray Hollowell has 10.8 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Morehead State so far this season. Ta’lon Cooper also has 8.8 PPG, 4.6 RPG and a team-high 6.1 APG to lead the Eagles in the assist department. As a team, Morehead State is averaging 69.6 PPG on 45.9% shooting from the field, 36.2% from three and 67.3% from the foul line while allowing 63 PPG on 40.7% shooting from the field and 31.5% from three this season.

Southeast Missouri State is 1-10-1 ATS in their last 12 games as a road underdog and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games against a team with a winning home record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Morehead State is 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case to be made either way here as the Redhawks offense can keep them in games while Morehead State’s the far better defense and do well against teams not named Belmont or Murray State. With that said, this is still a big number and I feel we have a better shot with the over here. These are two teams that can score and I think a game that soars into the 150s wouldn’t shock me here whatsoever. Give me the over.
