Ohio State vs Texas Tech 11/23/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Ohio State Buckeyes meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Lahaina Civic Center. Texas Tech enters this one at 4-1 overall. The Red Raiders are coming off a Tuesday win over Louisville. As for Ohio State, they beat Cincinnati in their Tuesday matchup. Texas Tech kicked off their season with a win over Northwestern State 73-49. The Red Raiders kept it up with wins over Texas Southern and Louisiana Tech. In game four Texas Tech took their first loss of the year versus Creighton. 

In the Louisville game Tuesday, Texas Tech didn’t have too much trouble. The Raiders were up 32-13 at halftime and cruised to the 70-38 blowout win. Kevin Obanor led the team on 15 points, and Daniel Batcho had 12 rebounds with nine points. 

Over on the Ohio State side, they won their first three games this year. The Buckeyes beat Robert Morris 91-53, Charleston Southern 82-56 and Eastern Illinois 65-43. Ohio State lost in game four to San Diego State 88-77. 

In the Tuesday game versus Cincinnati, Ohio State didn’t have too many issues. The Buckeyes were up 38-27 going into the second half and scored 43 more from there in an 81-53 win. Zed Key was the top scorer with 19 points and eight boards.

PICK: I’m probably going to stick with Texas Tech in this one. You could make a good case either way, though. The Red Raiders rebounded well from their loss to Creighton, cruising to an easy win over Louisville on Tuesday. Texas Tech shot 43.1 percent from the floor in that one and won the rebounding battle 45-29 (13-9 offensive). 

As for Ohio State, they had a nice outing in the Cincinnati game Tuesday. The Buckeyes shot 46.9 percent from the floor and had 42 team rebounds (19 offensive). I’m leaning Texas Tech cover-wise, but I can see Ohio State making things difficult.
