Samford vs Louisiana Tech 11/25/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Samford Bulldogs meet Friday in college basketball action from Pete Hanna Center. Louisiana Tech enters this one at 3-2 overall. The Bulldogs beat Alabama A&M in their last outing. As for Samford, they’re 6-0 so far and coming off a win over Valparaiso. Louisiana Tech began their 2022-23 campaign with a win over MS College 78-61. The Bulldogs lost to Texas Tech 64-55 and Louisiana 94-88 in the next pair, but then bounced back with a 79-58 win over LA-Monroe. 

On Wednesday versus Alabama A&M, Louisiana Tech had a slim 35-33 lead by halftime. The Bulldogs hit a 45-42 run from there in an 80-75 win. Terran Williams topped the team on 20 points, and Cobe Williams had 16 points. 

Over on the Samford side, it’s been smooth sailing so far this year. The Bulldogs kicked off the season with wins over Anderson (SC), Spring Hill College and Belhaven. Game four was another win over Alabama A&M, followed by a victory versus TX Southern. 

In the Wednesday matchup versus Valparaiso, Samford didn’t have too much trouble. The Bulldogs rocketed to a 52-22 halftime lead and kept the pace from there in a 79-49 blowout win. Both Jermaine Marshall and Ques Glover had 12 points apiece. 

PICK: I’m staying with Samford. Should be a good matchup, though. During their last game, the Bulldogs put on a clinic versus Valparaiso in the first half. Samford ended up shooting 45.1 percent from the field with 39 rebounds and 14 team assists. Samford hasn’t really had a tough game so far this year. 

As for Louisiana Tech, they’re coming off a nice job versus a not-so-good Alabama A&M team. Louisiana Tech will have their hands full in this one though, and I don’t think they’ll be the Bulldogs who cover/win.
