San Jose State vs Alabama State 11/15/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Alabama State Hornets and the San Jose State Spartans meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Event Center Arena. Alabama State is 0-3 on the season so far and coming off a loss to Pepperdine. As for San Jose State, they’re currently 2-0 following a Saturday win over Bethesda. Alabama State started out their year with a game versus UAB. The Hornets struggled in that one and eventually lost 111-70. As for game two versus USC, that was another blowout loss for Alabama State—this time 96-58. 

The Hornets kept their rough run of games going with an outing versus Pepperdine. Alabama State was down 47-25 by the break and ended up with a loss 91-62. Leading scorer TJ Madlock posted 17 points with five rebounds. 

Over on the San Jose State side, it’s been smooth sailing so far. The Spartans kicked off their year with a game versus Georgia Southern. San Jose State ended up winning 63-48. Both Omari Moore and Alvaro Cardenas Torre led the team with 14 points apiece. 

In their second matchup of the year versus Bethesda, San Jose State bagged another victory. The Spartans were up 45-29 by halftime and took a 90-68 win. Robert Vaihola (14 points; 10 rebounds) and Sage Tolbert (13 points; 14 rebounds) both doubled up. 

PICK: I’m staying with San Jose State. The Spartans haven’t exactly been challenged yet this year, but they’re taking care of business. San Jose State should have another relatively easy game here as well since Alabama State is struggling. The Hornets have given up 91 or more points in all three matchups thus far, and they’ve been below 63 points in their last two games. San Jose State shouldn’t have a ton of trouble if they play reasonably well.
