Stanford vs Florida State 11/25/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Florida State Seminoles and the Stanford Cardinal meet Friday in college basketball action from HP Field House. Florida State is 1-5 on the year so far. The Seminoles lost to Siena in their Thursday matchup. As for Stanford, they’re 2-3 this season and fresh off a loss to Ole Miss. Florida State has had a rough year so far. The Seminoles lost their first four games of the year to Stetson, UCF, Troy and Florida. Florida State was able to stop the bleeding on Monday with a win over Mercer 81-72. 

In Thursday’s matchup versus Siena, it was another loss for Florida State. The Seminoles were down 43-26 by halftime and limped to an 80-63 loss. Tops in scoring for the Seminoles was Matthew Cleveland with 14 points and six boards. 

Over on the Stanford side, they beat Pacific 88-78 in their opener this year but then fell to Wisconsin 60-50 and San Diego State 74-62. The Cardinal bounced back with an 80-43 blowout win over Cal Poly in game four. 

In the Thursday game versus Ole Miss, the Cardinal trailed 29-22 by halftime. Stanford made a 46-43 run in the second half but ended up losing 72-68. Harrison Ingram led the team with 24 points and four rebounds. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with Stanford. The Cardinal had a rough first half in the Ole Miss game on Thursday and ended up shooting 40.4 percent from the field with 30 rebounds. Stanford has been highly inconsistent depending on their matchup this year, but they should be in their element against the Seminoles. 

As for Florida State, they’ve had a pretty miserable year so far. The Seminoles shot a tepid 36.4 percent from the floor in the Siena game and were out-rebounded 31-29. Florida State doesn’t have much firepower this year, so they’ll likely have a hard time keeping up the cover pace in this one.
