The Arizona Wildcats and the Alabama Crimson Tide meet Saturday in college basketball action from Legacy Arena. Here’s an Alabama vs Arizona prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Alabama vs Arizona pick.

Arizona Wildcats Betting Preview

It’s been smooth sailing for the Wildcats so far this year. Arizona beat Florida in their opener, then took out Utah Tech, Northern Arizona and UCLA in the next trio. The Wildcats followed that up with wins over UConn, Denver and Norfolk State. Arizona’s latest game was a win over Auburn which gives the team a nice 8-0 run across their first eight outings so far this season.

In the Auburn matchup last weekend, the Wildcats opened up on a 44-32 advantage. Arizona closed with 53 more points, finishing off a decisive 97-68 victory in the end. Tops in scoring was Koa Peat with 18 points, five assists and four rebounds. Jaden Bradley added 16 points with four boards and four assists while Brayden Burries had 16 points, five boards and one assist in 29 minutes of work.

Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Preview

Over on the Alabama side, they kicked off the season on a choppy run but they’ve since righted the ship. The Tide went 3-2 in their first five with losses to Purdue and Gonzaga alongside wins otherwise versus North Dakota, Saint John’s and Illinois. Since then it’s been four straight wins over UNLV, Maryland, Clemson and UTSA, giving the Tide a 7-2 overall run across nine games so far this year.

In the UTSA game on Sunday, the Tide hopped out to a dominant 56-17 edge after the first half. Alabama hit a 41-38 run the rest of the way, finishing off a 97-55 win in the end for a blowout. Jalil Bethea had 21 points with six rebounds and two assists, while both Labaron Philon and London Jemison chipped in 20 points each. Amari Allen doubled up on 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win as well.

Why the Alabama Crimson Tide will win

  • Alabama has won 17 of its last 19 games when playing with a rest disadvantage.
  • Alabama has won the first half in each of its last four games.

Why the Arizona Wildcats will win

  • Arizona has won each of its last eight games.
  • Alabama has lost nine of its last 10 night games against Top 5 AP-ranked opponents.
  • Arizona has won the first half in each of its last eight games.

Alabama vs Arizona Prediction

I’ll take a stab on Alabama in this one. The Tide are hot right now on a four-game win streak and coming off a dominant effort versus UTSA last weekend. Alabama didn’t shoot all that well (39 percent) in that one but did hit 17-of-20 (85 percent) from the line with a 55-36 rebounding edge and just five turnovers. The Tide have scored 80 or more points in every game so far this year; if they can get the offense cooking here, who knows what could happen.

As for Arizona, they didn’t have much issue with Auburn in their last game. The Wildcats shot a scorching 61.2 percent from the field with a 36-28 rebounding edge and a 60-24 advantage on points in the paint but did cough up 13 turnovers in the blowout win. Arizona has 97 or more points in three straight games themselves, so we could very well have a wild shootout and a high total on Saturday. Should be a fun game to watch.
