The Oregon Ducks and the Arizona State Sun Devils meet Thursday in college basketball action from ASU Wells Fargo Arena. Oregon is 17-8 on the year and fresh off a win over Washington State. As for Arizona State, they’re sitting at 8-15 this year. The Devils beat Washington State in their last game as well. Oregon stumbled to a 6-6 start through a dozen games this year, but things have gotten much better since then. The Ducks are 5-1 in their last six games. They’ve beaten Oregon State, Colorado, Utah, Stanford and Washington State in that time.

Matched up against Washington State on Monday, the Ducks posted a 35-29 advantage by halftime. Oregon had to hang on after a 27-30 second half but still bagged the win 62-59. N’Faly Dante doubled up on 13 points and 10 boards in the victory.

Over on the Arizona State side, they hit a 5-6 start to the year and were only able to play one game (a loss) from December 19 to January 15. The last four games have been better for Arizona State at 2-2 with victories over UCLA and Washington State.

On Saturday in the Washington State game, the Sun Devils trailed by two at the break. Arizona State hit a 31-26 run in the second half for a nice comeback win 58-55. Jalen Graham topped the scoring on 14 points and four rebounds.

The Sun Devils are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 at home and 16-35-2 ATS in their last 53 overall. Arizona State is 3-8 ATS in the last 11 Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Ducks are 0-4 ATS in the last four overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Thursday games. The over is 5-1 in Oregon’s last six road games.

PICK: I’m staying with Oregon here. The Ducks had a bad outing recently versus California, but otherwise they’ve been great over the last half-dozen games. Oregon has held opponents to 60 or fewer points in three of the last five outings as well.

As for Arizona State, they’ve got a couple of quality wins in their last four, but otherwise the losses lately have been pretty bad. Oregon should have the advantage here and will cover if they play to their capabilities.
