The Fordham Rams and the Davidson Wildcats meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Belk Arena. Fordham is riding a three-game losing streak at 10-15 after falling to Dayton over the weekend. As for Davidson, there’s 14-11 after a loss to St. Bonaventure on Saturday. Let’s get into our Fordham vs. Davidson prediction. Fordham Rams

The Rams started off the season on a .500 run at 8-8 but haven’t been able to get back to even since then. Fordham is just 2-7 in their last nine games, featuring losses to Davidson, Loyola, Duquesne, Richmond, VCU, St. Bonaventure and Dayton during that stretch.

In the Saturday matchup versus Dayton, the Rams fell behind 44-35 by the break. Fordham came back with a 35-34 run from there and took the loss in the end 78-70. Both Japhet Medor and Kyle Rose scored 17 points each to lead the team, combining for seven rebounds as well.

Davidson Wildcats

Over on the Davidson side, they got off to a great start at 10-3 overall but have only been able to win four games in the new calendar year. The Wildcats are 2-4 in their last six games with losses to VCU, Loyola, George Mason and St. Bonaventure mixed with wins over Duquesne and La Salle.

Over the weekend versus La Salle, the Wildcats kept pace the whole time but faltered in the end. Davidson scored 34 points in each half to force overtime, then got outscored 13-12 in a tough loss 81-80. Connor Kochera topped the team with his 29 points and eight rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE FORDHAM VS DAVIDSON PREDICTION

I’ll stay with Davidson. There’s not much to get excited about in this one if you’re not a fan of either team, though. The Wildcats have been losing quite a bit lately but they’ve at least been competitive. Davidson’s last two losses have been decided by a combined three points. They’re 2-2 in the last four with 71 or more points in three of those.

Back on January 17 when these teams last met up, Davidson took a 79-69 road victory. Neither team shot all that well but both had 40-plus rebounds. This one should be fairly competitive, and I like the Wildcats to power it out.
