Fordham played pretty well over their first 22 games this year, posting an 18-4 overall record. The Rams are a solid 5-2 in the last seven games since then, beating UMass, Davidson, St. Bonaventure, Loyola IL and Rhode Island along the way. 

Matched up against Rhode Island on Saturday, Fordham held a slim 36-35 lead going into the second half. Fordham was able to keep it going on a 38-36 run from there and won 74-71. Khalid Moore, Darius Quisenberry and Rostyslav Novitskyi each scored 14 points. 

George Mason Patriots 

Over on the George Mason side, they were 12-10 over their first 22 outings this year. The Patriots are also 5-2 in their last seven, taking wins over UMass, Rhode Island, George Washington, La Salle and Dayton in that time. 

On Saturday in the Dayton game, the Patriots posted a 33-28 advantage by halftime. George Mason kept the pace on a 41-41 second half and won it 74-69. Ronald Polite topped the team on 22 points with six assists.

I’ll probably take a stab on George Mason here. The Patriots are fresh off a nice road win over a pretty good Dayton team on Saturday. George Mason has now won four straight with 66 or more points scored in each of those game. As for Fordham, they’re 5-1 in their last six with 71 or more points scored in each of those victories. If both teams play to their capabilities in this one we should have a high-scoring, competitive affair. I like George Mason to stay consistent and power out a cover. Should be a fun one to watch.
