Georgia Southern Eagles Betting Preview

The Georgia Southern Eagles are coming off a decent 17-win season but are still looking for their first trip to the Big Dance in over 30 years. Tyren Moore returns after averaging 9.7 points and 2.6 rebounds, while Carlos Curry averaged 7.2 points and 0.3 assists. Derrick Harris Jr. played in 154 minutes last season and Cam Bryant played in 60 minutes. Georgia Southern lost a lot of production from last season, including its only double-digit scorers in Andrei Savrasov and Jalen Finch. Needless to say, Georgia Southern has a lot of holes to fill. Georgia Southern has won double-digit games in each of the last 12 years.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets won 15 games last year and now begin the Damon Stoudamire era. Georgia Tech has made the NCAA Tournament once in the last 10 years. Miles Kelly returns after averaging 14.4 points and 3.4 rebounds, while Lance Terry averaged 10.1 points and 1.2 assists. Kyle Sturdivant played in 790 minutes last season, and Dallan Coleman averaged 2.9 rebounds. Outside of Ja’von Franklin, Georgia Tech returns a great deal of production from a year ago. Georgia Tech also snagged a lot of transfers, including Kowacie Reeves from Florida, Amaree Abram from Ole Miss and Ebenezer Dowuona from NC State. There’s a new coaching staff in place, but Georgia Tech has the potential to be pretty good in the ACC this season.

The Georgia Southern Eagles lost a ton of production from last season, and it’s not easy to iron out wrinkles on the road. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets has a new coaching staff in place, but there’s a lot of returning key players and there was talent added in the transfer portal. Georgia Tech has a chance to be a solid team and a surprise in the ACC this season. They’re a team I’ll be watching closely. Give me Georgia Tech in a comfortable home season opening victory.
