The Cincinnati Bearcats and the Howard Bison meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Burr Gymnasium. Cincinnati rolls into this one after a blowout victory versus Georgia Tech that put the Bearcats at 5-0 overall. As for Howard, they improved to 3-4 on the season with a double-overtime win over Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday. Here’s a Cincinnati vs Howard Prediction.
Cincinnati Bearcats
The Bearcats haven’t had too many issues during their 5-0 run so far; every victory has come by double-digit points. Cincinnati took out UIC, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Washington and Northern Kentucky in their first quartet. In the win over the Norse, the Bearcats posted 50 percent shooting and a 45-30 rebounding advantage.
Cincinnati kept their run going with a blowout win over Georgia Tech. The Bearcats were up 40-32 by the break and scored 49 more points from there in an 89-54 blowout. Cincinnati’s top scorer was Viktor Lakhin with 15 points and six rebounds, while John Newman managed 12 points with three boards.

Howard Bison
Over on the Howard side, they managed a 2-2 run over their first four games, taking out Hampton and Boston U in that time. The Bison followed that up with consecutive losses to Rutgers and Bryant, however, In the loss to the Bulldogs, Howard had 44 rebounds but shot just 31.8 percent from the field overall.
Howard was able to get back into the win column versus Mount St. Mary’s in their last matchup, but it didn’t come easily. The Bison scored 34 points in the second half and 21 in the extra periods for an 87-83 2OT victory. Seth Towns topped the team on a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
ANDREW’S FREE HOWARD VS CINCINNATI PREDICTION
I’ll probably just stay with Cincinnati. The Bearcats haven’t shown a ton of weaknesses so far, and they’re coming off another nice win over Georgia Tech. Cincinnati hit 46.8 percent from the field and 40 percent (14-of-35) from 3-point range in that one with just six turnovers. That makes 85 or more points scored in four straight games for the Bearcats.
As for Howard, they’re coming off a gutsy win over a plucky but struggling Mount St. Mary’s team. The Bison shot 45.3 percent from the field with 46 rebounds in that one, and they’ll need a high shooting percentage in order to keep up here as well. I don’t think Howard will quite get there.
