BYU Cougars Betting Preview

The BYU Cougars are 21-8 (12-6) this season after they defeated West Virginia by a score of 77-56 in their last game. Total Points Facts

  • Each of BYU’s last five games against Top 10 AP-ranked opponents has produced a total of 149 or fewer points.

Iowa State vs BYU Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup ranked in the top 25 and tied in the Big 12 standings with a 12-6 record, so this is a big battle for each side. BYU has won six games in a row and they have scored at least 80 points in four of their last five. The Cougars are shooting nearly 49% from the field this year, but their defense has been inconsistent. Iowa State has lost two of their last three games, but I trust their defense much more. The Cyclones have allowed 68 points or fewer in three of their last four games and they have been very good at home this year. This will be a good measuring stick for BYU to see where they are at heading into the postseason, but I don’t think their defense is going to hold up in this game. Take Iowa State at home here.
