The Miami Hurricanes and Kansas State Wildcats face off on Sunday in a college basketball showdown at the Baha Mar Convention Center. This is a huge early season test for both of these teams.
Miami has Dreams of a National Championship
Miami comes into this game with a 5-0 record overall and this is a squad that believes they can win the National Championship. In the last game against the Georgia Bulldogs, Miami scored 79 points and that was enough for the 11 point victory. Guard Matthew Cleveland was the top player for Miami putting up 18 points. There were five different players that put up at least 11 points. On the season Miami is averaging 88.5 points while their defense is giving up 70 points per game. In this game look for Miami to push to pace the pace and really put the pressure on the Kansas State defense.
Kansas State Looks for Another Big Early Season Win
Kansas State comes into this game with a 3-1 record overall and they have won three games in a row. The only loss for Kansas State came in their first game of the season against the USC Trojans. On Friday the Wildcats faced off against Providence and thye were able to secure the 73-70 victory. Tylor Perry was the top player for Kansas State putting up 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists. K-State is averaging 79 points while their defense is giving up 73.8 points per game.
Shane’s Free Pick
There isn’t going to be a whole lot of defense played by either team in this game. MIami has had no issue running up the score and it’s going to be no different here. I don’t think they are going to slowdown the Kansas State offense though, and that is going to be the difference here as this game is going to end up being higher scoring. Back the over to cash here.
