The Loyola Marymount Lions are 9-6 (1-2) this year after they defeated Oregon State by a score of 82-61 in their last game. Why Gonzaga will beat Loyola Marymount

  • Gonzaga has won each of its last 15 night games against non-AP-ranked opponents.
  • Loyola Marymount has lost 12 of its last 13 games against AP-ranked opponents at Gersten Pavilion.
  • Gonzaga has won the first half in each of its last 25 games against Loyola Marymount.

Loyola Marymount vs Gonzaga Prediction

Gonzaga comes into this matchup with four losses on the season already, but they are still undefeated in conference play and ranked #19 in the country. The Bulldogs are shooting just under 50% from the field and they are scoring 86.9 points per game. Loyola Marymount was able to snap a two-game losing streak with a blowout win over Oregon State in their last game, but they only scored 59 and 55 points in the two losses before that. The Lions are shooting 43.5% from the field, which is going to be a problem, and they are going to have issues rebounding in this one. Don’t let the four losses fool you, Gonzaga is still the best team in the WCC by a mile and I like them to win big here.
