The Ohio Bobcats and the Miami-Ohio RedHawks meet Friday in college basketball action from Millett Hall in Oxford. Here’s a Miami (OH) vs Ohio Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Miami-OH vs Ohio pick.

Ohio Bobcats Betting Preview

The Bobcats were a few games above the .500 mark back in early January, sitting at 10-7 overall after the first 17 outings. Ohio has since hit a rough 3-5 run in their last eight though, beating only Northern Illinois, Buffalo and Western Michigan. the losses otherwise have come versus Toledo, Ball State, Akron, Kent State and Old Dominion, giving the team a 13-12 record so far.

In the Old Dominion matchup back on Saturday the Bobcats entered the second half with a 40-35 deficit on the road. Ohio was outscored 38-37 the rest of the way and ended up losing the game 78-72. Ajay Sheldon was tops on the team with 19 points with four assists and three rebounds, while Aidan Hadaway had 12 points with 13 rebounds and three assists in the loss.

Miami-OH RedHawks Betting Preview

Over on the Miami-OH side, they’ve been on a tear so far this year. The RedHawks have beaten Old Dominion, Trinity Christian IL, Air Force, Mercyhurst, AR-PineBluff, UNC Greensboro, Indiana University East, Maine, UNC Asheville, Eastern Kentucky, Wright State, Ball State, Milligan, Bowling Green, Akron, Western Michigan, Toledo, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Kent State, UMass, Northern Illinois, Buffalo and Marshall this season in succession.

Matched up against Marshall on Saturday the RedHawks were ahead 49-31 by the end of the first half and looking very good. Miami-OH cruised the rest of the way on 41 more points and powered out the win 90-74 in the end. Miami-OH vs Ohio Prediction

I’ll just stay with the RedHawks. Miami-OH has had some close calls this year, but that wasn’t the case over the weekend in a blowout road victory over Marshall. In that one, the RedHawks posted a nice 55.9 percent from the field with a 35-32 rebounding edge and a 46-38 advantage on points in the paint. Miami-Ohio held the Herd to just 40 percent shooting from the field but did post 13 turnovers in the massive road win. The RedHawks have scored 73 or more points in every game so far this year and 85 or more in eight of the last nine.

As for Ohio, they couldn’t quite keep pace in a road loss to Old Dominion during their last outing. The Bobcats were outscored in the paint 40-30 in that one but did shoot well at 46.6 percent from the field. Ohio is just 3-5 in their last eight games, but they’ve scored 72 or more points in three straight. This will be a particularly tough matchup on the road, though.
