The Indiana Hoosiers and the Michigan Wolverines meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. Here’s a Michigan vs Indiana prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Michigan vs Indiana pick.
Indiana Hoosiers Betting Preview
The Hoosiers managed to bag wins in each of their first seven games this year. Indiana would then hit a rough 1-3 patch featuring losses to Minnesota, Louisville and Kentucky in that time. After more wins over Chicago State, Siena, Washington and Maryland the Hoosiers have since taken losses to Nebraska, Michigan State and Iowa. That leaves Indiana with a 12-6 overall run through the first 18 games of the season so far.
In the Iowa matchup back on Saturday, Indiana went into the locker room with a 10-point deficit 38-28. The Hoosiers didn’t end up getting any closer than that, getting outscored in the second half 36-29 on the way to a rough home loss 74-57. Tayton Connerway led the team with 16 points and four assists while Sam Alexis added 13 points with eight rebounds over 28 minutes in the loss.
Michigan Wolverines Betting Preview
Over on the Michigan side, they kicked off their season on a great run, beating Oakland, Wake Forest, TCU, Middle Tennessee, San Diego State, Auburn, Gonzaga, Rutgers, Villanova, Maryland, La Salle, McNeese, USC and Penn State in the first 14 games. After their first loss to Wisconsin the Wolverines have since bounced back with two more wins over Washington and Oregon. over 17 games this year Michigan has a 16-1 overall record.
In the Oregon matchup over the weekend the Wolverines entered the second half with a one-point deficit 41-40. Michigan woke up from there on a 41-30 run and took the comeback road win 81-71 in the end. Elliot Cadeau was tops on 17 points with five assists and Nimarni Burnett chipped in 15 points with three rebounds and three assists. Aday Mara put up 12 points with three assists as well.

Michigan vs Indiana Prediction
I’ll just stick with Michigan in this one. The Wolverines had a slow start this weekend on the road versus a middling Oregon team but eventually rallied for the win on 49 percent shooting and a 29-25 rebounding advantage. Michigan was pretty sloppy with the ball though, coughing up 14 turnovers along the way. The Wolverines are scoring great so far this year, though; they’ve got 74 or more points in all but one game (67 in a four-point road win over TCU).
As for Indiana, they didn’t have any answers for Iowa in their latest home loss. The Hoosiers shot just 38.5 percent from the field with a 26-22 rebounding deficit while giving up 50 percent shooting on the other side. The Hawkeyes also had a nice outing at the line (21-of-23 for 91.3 percent). That makes three straight losses for Indiana, who has failed to crack 60 points in consecutive outings now. This one’s not going to get any easier.
