The Vanderbilt Commodores will play the Ole Miss Rebels in a SEC game on Saturday afternoon at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi. Vanderbilt has lost six of their last seven games, while Ole Miss comes into this game with only one loss on the season. Let’s take a look at the betting matchup and the Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss prediction.

Vanderbilt Preview

The Vanderbilt Commodores are 5-10 (0-2) this season after they lost to LSU by a score of 77-69 in their last game. Vanderbilt only trailed 30-28 at the half, but allowed 47 points in the second half for the loss. The Commodores shot 44.3% from the field and were +2 in rebounding margin in the game. Vanderbilt lost to Alabama by a score of 78-75 in the game prior to LSU, but did defeat Dartmouth before that. The Commodores are scoring 68.9 points per game with 36.3 rebounds per game and 10.1 assists per game, while allowing 71.9 points against per game this year. Ezra Manjon is averaging 16.7 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and 3.5 assists per game. Vanderbilt is shooting 40.3% from the field, 72.3% on free throws, and 29.2% on three pointers this season.

Ole Miss Preview

The Ole Miss Rebels are 14-1 (1-1) this year after they defeated Florida by a score of 103-85 in their last game. Ole Miss led 44-40 at halftime and they scored 59 points in the second half for the win. The Rebels shot 59.1% from the field and were -10 in rebounding margin in the game. Ole Miss’ only loss so far this season came against Tennessee by a score of 90-64 two games ago. The Rebels are scoring 78.2 points per game with 34.7 rebounds per game and 15.9 assists per game, while giving up 70.4 points against per game this season. Matthew Murrell is averaging 16.9 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 2.9 assists per game. Ole Miss is shooting 47.2% from the field, 73.6% on free throws, and 40.1% on three pointers this year.

Vanderbilt vs Ole Miss Betting Prediction

Ole Miss comes into this game with an incredible 14-1 record to start the season, but they were blown out by Tennessee last weekend. The Rebels did bounce back with a win against Florida, where they scored 103 points. Vanderbilt has lost six of their last seven games, but they were competitive against LSU and Alabama. Ole Miss is the much better shooting team in this matchup and I think that will be the difference. I think we are going to see a lot of points in this game, but I like Ole Miss to win big at home.
