In this article we will formulate a Quinnipiac vs Siena prediction for this College Basketball game on Friday, January 10th at M&T Bank Arena in Hamden, Connecticut. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Quinnipiac Bobcats Betting Preview

The Quinnipiac Bobcats are 7-8 (3-1) this year after they lost to Marist by a score of 69-62 in their last game. Quinnipiac trailed 30-19 at halftime, but they did score 43 points in the second half in the loss. The Bobcats shot 37.3% from the field, 39.1% on three pointers, and 60% on free throws in the game. Amarri Monroe led Quinnipiac with 15 points and five rebounds, while Khaden Bennett added 14 points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Bobcats defeated St. Peter’s by a score of 59-46 and Hofstra by a score of 75-69. Quinnipiac has lost three of their last five games, but they did open conference play with wins over Rider and Sacred Heart. Quinnipiac has scored 69.9 points per game and they have allowed 71.7 points against per game, while also averaging 38 rebounds and 11.3 assists per game this season. Amarri Monroe is averaging 14.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, while Paul Otieno is averaging 12.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game. Quinnipiac is shooting 39.6% from the field, 73.5% on free throws, and 26.5% on three pointers this season.

Siena Saints Betting Preview

The Siena Saints are 7-8 (2-2) this season after they lost to Iona by a score of 74-73 in their last game. Siena led 38-37 at halftime, but they were out scored 37-35 in the second half for the loss. The Saints shot 44.4% from the field, 33.3% on three pointers, and 72.2% on free throws in the game. Brendan Coyle led Siena with 20 points and three rebounds, while Justice Shoats added 16 points and four assists in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Saints defeated Manhattan by a score of 103-95 and Cornell by a score of 83-77. Siena has lost three of their last five games and eight of their last twelve, but they did start the season with three straight wins. Siena has scored 70.3 points per game and they have allowed 72.6 points against per game, while also averaging 31.8 rebounds and 11.4 assists per game this season. Justice Shoats is averaging 14.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, while Major Freeman is averaging 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this year. Siena is shooting 42.5% from the field, 72% on free throws, and 33.4% on three pointers this season.

Why Quinnipiac will beat Siena

  • Quinnipiac has won seven of its last eight night games against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at M&T Bank Arena.
  • Siena has lost 17 of its last 20 games against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
  • Quinnipiac has won the first half in each of its last six night games against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Quinnipiac vs Siena Prediction

Quinnipiac comes into this contest after losing to Marist in their last game, but they will be at home for this matchup. The Bobcats have won two of their last three games, but they are shooting just 39.6% from the field this year. Quinnipiac has scored 62 points or fewer in two straight games, so they need to find more consistent scoring. Siena is also coming off of a loss and they have also won two of their last three games. The Saints do have a slightly better shooting percentage than Quinnipiac, but it is only sitting at 42.5%. I don’t really trust either defense in this matchup, but Quinnipiac is at home and they are averaging about six more rebounds per game. Take the Bobcats to get a big conference win at home.
