The Rhode Island Rams will try to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 72-61 loss to Duquesne in their last matchup. Ishmael Leggett leads the Rams in scoring with 15.7 PPG and 5.5 RPG and Brayon Freeman has 13.7 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Rhode Island so far this season. Malik Martin has a team-high 6.5 RPG to lead Rhode Island on the glass while Sebastian Thomas also has a team-high 3.1 APG to lead the Rams in assists up to this point in the year. As a team, Rhode Island is averaging 65.6 PPG on 39.8% shooting from the field, 29.6% from three and 73.5% from the foul line this season.

Fordham is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a double-digit loss at home while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games following an ATS loss. Rhode Island is 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 home games.

I could easily make a case for both sides here, but I’m going to stick with Fordham. Rhode Island has simply stunk it up within the conference going back some time now, and I just don’t see this game being any different when Fordham is clearly the better team here and they just fell into a flat spot against Davidson last time out. I think that Rhode Island’s been in a flat spot pretty much all year long, so give me Fordham in this one.
