St. John’s vs Butler Prediction

The St. John’s Red Storm should be able to take a lot from their loss to Creighton, as they had their chances to win and probably should’ve on the road. Let’s not forget that St. John’s had a double-digit lead in the first half and made a last-minute comeback in the second half. Despite the loss, St. John’s has to be feeling good after the result. St. John’s is a solid team that can score and get timely stops. The Butler Bulldogs are heading in the opposite direction, as they’ve lost six straight games and have dropped to 7-7 ATS on the season. Butler has a defense problem, allowing 71 or more points in six straight games. St. John’s should be licking its chops at this matchup given its ability to score and Butler’s issue to defend.

Also, the team that’s won each of the last seven games between Butler and St. John’s has also covered the number. The favorite has been that team in all seven games. Thick line, but Butler is free-falling. I’ll play the trends in this spot. It’s hard to take the Bulldogs seriously. Give me St. John’s.
