Syracuse Orange Betting Preview

The Syracuse Orange are 4-4 this season after they lost to Notre Dame by a score of 69-64 in their last game. Syracuse trailed 30-26 at halftime, but they did score 38 points in the second half in the loss. The Orange shot 47.1% from the field, 0% on three-pointers, and 66.7% on free throws in the game. Donnie Freeman led Syracuse with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Orange lost to Tennessee by a score of 96-70 but did beat Cornell by a score of 82-72 before that. Syracuse has scored 77.5 points per game and they have allowed 79.4 points per game, while also averaging 39.4 rebounds and 14 assists per game this season. J.J. Starling is averaging 19.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, while Syracuse is shooting 45.2% from the field, 67.6% on free throws, and 26% on three-pointers this year.

Albany Great Danes Betting Preview

The Albany Great Danes are 6-4 this year after they lost to Boston University in overtime by a score of 80-74 in their last game. Albany scored 39 points in the second half to force overtime, but they couldn’t get the job done in overtime. The Great Danes shot 44.3% from the field, 57.9% on three-pointers, and 75% on free throws in the game. DeMarr Langford Jr. led Albany with 14 points and seven rebounds in the game.

Prior to that loss, the Great Danes defeated Columbia by a score of 88-73 but did lose to Georgetown and American before that. Albany has scored 77.2 points per game and they have allowed 71.8 points per game, while also averaging 30.8 rebounds and 12.1 assists per game this season. Byron Joshua is averaging 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, while Albany is shooting 45.2% from the field, 72.9% on free throws, and 36.4% on three-pointers this year.

  • UAlbany has won each of its last three night games.
  • UAlbany has won the first half in five of its last six night games against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of Syracuse’s last four games against non-AP-ranked opponents has produced a total of 154 or fewer points.
  • Twenty-four of UAlbany’s last 26 Tuesday night games against non-conference opponents have produced a total of 150 or fewer points.

Syracuse vs Albany Prediction

Syracuse comes into this matchup after losing four of their last five games, but all four of those losses did come against Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas Tech, and Texas. The Orange have had issues on the defensive end of the court, as they have allowed over 79 points per game this season. Albany has been a better defensive team when looking at the stats, but they did allow 100 points to Georgetown just a few games ago. Syracuse has not won a game by more than 10 points so far this season and I think their defense will keep Albany in the game. Take the Great Danes here.
