Western Carolina Catamounts
Western Carolina managed a .500 run over their first 22 games with an 11-11 record. The Catamounts are 5-2 in their last seven outings, beating VMI, Chattanooga, Wofford, East Tennessee State and Mercer in that time.
In the Mercer game on Saturday, Western Carolina went into the break with a 33-31 deficit. The Catamounts fought back in the second on a 40-35 run and took the comeback win 71-68. Tre Jackson led the team with 18 points and four rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’m leaning toward UNC Greensboro here, but you could make a case either way. It should be a pretty solid matchup as both teams are playing well lately. That said, the Spartans have been scoring well with 69 or more points in six straight games. UNC Greensboro didn’t have much trouble the last time these teams met up on December 29 at Ramsey Center, taking a 72-47 blowout win thanks to a 38-17 second half. This one should be more competitive overall, but I still like the Spartans on the cover.
