In this article, we will formulate an Army vs UAB prediction for this College Football game on Saturday, October 12th at Michie Stadium in West Point, New York. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this Week 7 matchup.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

The Army Black Knights are 5-0 (4-0) this year after they defeated Tulsa by a score of 49-7 in their last game. Army was tied at seven after the first quarter, but they scored the last 42 points in the game for an easy win. The Black Knights outgained Tulsa by a total of 481-268, tied the turnover battle at zero, and went 5-8 on third down in the game. Bryson Daily threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns, while Kanye Udoh rushed for 137 yards and two scores.

Army has also defeated Lehigh, FAU, Rice, and Temple to open the season. The Army offense has scored 38.8 points per game with 90.6 passing yards and 361.2 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 9.8 points per game this season. The Black Knights have gone 58.2% on third down and 7-9 on fourth down so far this season. Bryson Daily has completed 56.7% of his passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 602 yards and 10 scores.

UAB Blazers Betting Preview

The UAB Blazers are 1-4 (0-2) this season after they lost to Tulane by a score of 71-20 in their last game. UAB trailed 20-6 after the first quarter and 37-6 at halftime, but they allowed 34 more points in the second half in the blowout loss. The Blazers were outgained by a total of 497-305, lost the turnover battle 3-0, and went 4-16 on third down in the game. Jalen Kitna threw for 239 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions, while Lee Beebe Jr. rushed for 78 yards on nine carries.

UAB also has losses against Navy, Arkansas, and UL-Monroe, but they did beat Alcorn State in their first game. The UAB offense has scored 22.4 points per game with 209.8 passing yards and 156.2 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 36.8 points per game this season. The Blazers have gone 37.1% on third down and 7-14 on fourth down through five games. Jacob Zeno is battling an injury, so we will see Jalen Kitna under center if he is still hurt.

Why Army Will cover?

  • Army has won each of its last nine games.
  • UAB has lost each of its last eight road games.
  • Army has covered the spread in each of its last seven games.
  • UAB has failed to cover the spread in seven of its last eight road games against conference opponents.
  • UAB has lost the first half in four of its last five games against conference opponents.

Total Points Facts

  • Each of UAB’s last five games as an underdog has gone OVER the total points line.
  • Each of Army’s last four games as a favorite has gone OVER the total points line.

Matchup/League Facts

  • Army ranks 1st among FBS teams for rushing yards per game this season (361.2).
  • Army ranks 133rd among FBS teams for passing yards per game this season (90.6).
  • UAB ranks 7th among FBS teams for passing yards allowed per game this season (142.6).
  • UAB ranks 127th among FBS teams for H2 opponent points per game this season (18.0).

Army vs UAB Prediction

Army rolls into this game looking to stay undefeated and they have dominated all five of their opponents so far this season. The Black Knights offense has been great and they have scored 42+ points in three of their first five games. UAB has lost four games in a row and they have yet to beat an FBS team. The Blazers have allowed 71, 41, 37, and 32 points in their last four games and I have very little faith in them stopping the Army rushing attack. Take Army to win in another blowout.
