In this article we will formulate a Florida vs South Florida prediction for this College Football game on Saturday, September 6th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 2 matchup.

Florida Gators Betting Preview

The Florida Gators are 1-0 this season after they defeated LIU by a score of 55-0 in their first game. Florida led 14-0 after the first quarter and they extended that lead to 38-0 at the half. The Gators toned it down in the second half, but still added 17 points for the blowout victory. Florida out gained LIU by a total of 451-86, went 7-13 on third down conversions, and won the turnover battle by a total of 2-0. DJ Lagway went 15-18 for 120 yards and three touchdowns, while Tramell Jones Jr went 12-18 for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Jadan Baugh rushed nine times for 104 yards and one touchdown, while Vernell Brown III caught three passes for 79 yards in the win. The Florida defense was led by Myles Graham and Kamran James, who both had five total tackles, while the team had zero sacks and seven tackles for loss.

Florida cruised to the very easy win in their opening game, but playing an opponent like LIU doesn’t help them prep for the rest of the season at all. The Gators dominated on both sides of the ball and held LIU to fewer than 100 total yards, which is very difficult to do.

South Florida Bulls Betting Preview

The South Florida Bulls are 1-0 this year after they defeated Boise State by a score of 34-7 last week. South Florida trailed 7-0 after the first quarter, but they went into halftime with a 10-7 lead. The Bulls played great defense in the second half and added 24 points to pull away in the blowout win. South Florida was out gained by a total of 378-372, went 5-14 on third down conversions, and won the turnover battle by a total of 3-0. Byrum Brown went 16-24 for 210 yards, while also rushing for 43 yards and two scores. Alvon Isaac carried the ball three times for 52 yards, while Chas Nimrod caught three passes for 96 yards in the game. The USF defense was led by Jhalyn Shuler, who had 14 total tackles, while the team had one sack and five tackles for loss.

South Florida was an underdog in their first game, but they picked up a dominating win over a good Boise State team. The Bulls played incredible defense and did a great job of not giving up points, despite allowing almost 400 yards. South Florida has a very athletic quarterback and I am excited to watch him against this Florida defense.

Florida vs South Florida Prediction

Both of these teams picked up very easy wins to start the season last week, but South Florida did so against Boise State. The Bulls were led by Brown at quarterback, who can make plays through the air and on the ground. Florida didn’t learn much about their team against LIU, but we know Lagway is great and should find success here. I think we could see both teams march up and down the field, so I am looking at the over in this game.
