Week 1 of the college football season kicks off on Thursday, and we have the perfect college football parlay picks to make you money. Let’s take a look a look at these winning bets to make the start to Week 1 a profitable one.
Minnesota +2 -110 / Kansas / Lindenwood over 58.5 -110 / Eastern Illinois +28 -110 // $10 Bet Pays $59.58
The Minnesota Golden Gophers will keep this game, and I think they could win it outright. The Gophers have the best quarterback of the PJ Fleck in Max Bosmer who was a standout last year at New Hampshire, but this game is going to come down to the running game. The North Carolina defense allowed 159.2 yards per game on the ground last year, and this Minnesota running game is elite, led by Darius Taylor. The Gophers backs are going to run wild, and they will start this season out with a victory.
The Kansas Jayhawks and Lindenwood Lions are both going to run up the score here. Lance Leipold has made clear they aren’t going to hold anything back in this game, and that is going to include a ton of scoring. Jalon Daniels is healthy, and he’s going to sling the ball all over this Lindenwood defense. Kansas is going to close to this number by themselves, and Lindenwood will probably find the end zone once or twice.
The Eastern Illinois Panthers will keep it within 14 points here against the Illinois Fighting Illini. Eastern Illinois finished last season with an 8-3 record, and they have a ton of talent last back from last season. Not many on the FCS level are talking about Pierce Holley, but he’s going to have a big season, and that will start against the Illinois offense. I don’t trust Luke Altmyer at quarterback for Illinois, and turnover issues were a problem for him last season. He will have a couple of turnovers here, and Eastern Illinois is going to cover the spread.
North Dakota State ML +270 / NC State -33.5 -110 // $10 bet pays $60.64
The second parlay is always a longer shot parlay, but the chances of a big return are also there. Colorado has kept itself in the news this offseason, but I don’t think Deion Sanders actually has his team moving in the right direction. Last season, the Colorado defense was awful, and they are going to struggle again to start the season. North Dakota State is an elite running team, and that starts with the quarterback position. Both quarterbacks for the Bison are going to run wild in this game. The Colorado offensive line is also going to be a major issue, and the Bison defense will be in the backfield a lot here. North Dakota State is one of the top teams in the FCS again, and they are going to win this game. Back North Dakota State on the money line.
The NC State Wolfpack are going to blow up Western Carolina Catamounts here. My only genuine concern is that this is a bit of a look ahead with Tennessee next week, but NC State will be focused as this is the first game of the season. Last season, Western Carolina lost to Arkansas 56-13, and I believe it’s going to be similar here. The Western Carolina defense is going to have no answer for the NC State offense, and this game will get out of control early. Back NC State laying the 33.5 points.
