The Washington Huskies and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Saturday in college football action from Memorial Stadium Lincoln. Here’s a Nebraska vs Washington prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Nebraska vs Washington pick.

Washington Huskies Betting Preview

The Huskies opened up their season with a trio of wins, taking out Washington State, Utah State and Eastern Washington in those three games. Three losses followed however, as Washington fell versus Minnesota, USC and Iowa. Following a win over Purdue, the Huskies are now 4-3 overall through seven games.

In the Purdue matchup back on October 16, the Huskies were up at the break after a busy first half 24-17. Washington was able to add a couple of touchdowns in the fourth quarter and powered out the victor 38-26 as time wound down. QB Elijah Brown was 21-of-27 for 302 yards, three scores and three picks during the victory effort.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview

Over on the Cornhuskers’ side, they opened up the season on a tear but they’ve stuttered since then. Nebraska beat Ohio, Bowling Green, North Dakota, Michigan State and Maryland for a 5-0 start. After losses to Indiana and Oregon in the last two games however, the Cornhuskers are 5-2 on the season.

Matched up against Oregon on October 17, the Cornhuskers did the only scoring in the first half with a second-quarter TD. Nebraska got another TD in the third quarter but couldn’t stop Oregon from coming back in a 17-14 loss. QB Anthony Colandrea was 18-of-33 for 164 yards, one TD and one pick while also leading the rush with 13 carries for 38 yards and a TD.

Nebraska vs Washington Prediction

I’ll go with Nebraska. The Cornhuskers took a tough loss to a tricky Oregon team in their last outing, tallying just 14 first downs and 78 rush yards. On defense Nebraska held the ducks to just 15 first downs and 3-of-17 on third downs with two takeaways. The Cornhuskers are sitting on consecutive losses but both those defeats came by only three points each.

As for Washington, they posted 488 yards and 24 first downs in the win over Purdue. That said, the Huskies also accounted for a whopping five turnovers in the 12-point victory. Washington has given up 25 or more points in four straight games, going just 1-3 in that time.
