I’m going to stay with Washington State. The Cougars didn’t exactly play their best in their latest matchup versus San Diego State, but they’ve had plenty of time to rest and gameplan since then. Washington State posted 371 total yards against the Aztecs but went a tepid 5-of-12 on third-down tries. Defensively the Cougars gave up 414 yards and 5.8 yards per play.

As for Utah State, they’ve got some pressure off of themselves by winning that matchup with Wyoming. The Aggies were pretty bad on third downs though (3-of-13) and committed eight penalties for 77 yards. This weekend’s competition will ratchet up even further, and I don’t think the Aggies will keep pace in the end.
