Caribbean Regional Super50 : Trinidad and Tobago Red Force vs Guyana Jaguars 2/27/2021 Cricket Prediction

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force will face the Guyana Jaguars in the Final of the Caribbean Regional Super50 tournament. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday February 27th, 2021 at 1:30pm EST. This will be the second time the two teams have faced each other in the competition, with Trinidad winning on the first occasion. Who will win and be the limited overs Champions of the Caribbean?

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force has been by far the most outstanding team so far in the competition. They have made it to the final undefeated, hardly breaking a sweat in the process. The Red Force convincingly defeated the Jamaica Scorpions in the Semi-Finals by six wickets to set up a top of the table clash against Guyana in the Final. They were led by “Man of the Match” Ravi Rampaul’s outstanding figures of 4-29 and then a superb innings of 63 from key batsman Lendl Simmons, setting the tone early on in the innings. Trinidad has an unbelievably deep squad, littered with West Indian Internationals such as Simmons, Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo and Sunil Narine, all potential match winners. With this team and in their current form they enter this Final as overwhelming favorites and it is hard to see them losing here.

Guyana have also been impressive during the tournament, losing only one Group Stage match to the Red Force. They have otherwise dominated their opposition and will be looking to cause the upset here. Led from the front by captain Shimron Hetmeyer who struck an impressive 113 in the Semi-Final win over the Windward Islands, and tournament leading wicket-taker Gudakesh Motie who took four wickets they were able to reach the Final in impressive fashion. Unfortunately, they have been heavily reliant on a few top players while the majority of the squad has disappointed. This will have to be quickly corrected and some of the fringe players will have to find form if they are to have a chance of winning here as underdogs.

It is hard to see the Trinidad and Tobago team losing here. They have been dominant throughout the entire tournament and while anything can happen, it is unlikely that they will falter at the final hurdle given their immense experience. They are simply too good in all areas of the game and expect them to cruise to victory here.
