International Cricket: West Indies vs. South Africa 3rd T20 Cricket Prediction

West Indies vs South Africa
June 29, 2021 2:00 pm EDT

South Africa’s tour of the West Indies continues tomorrow with their third T20 fixture being played at St. George’s in Grenada. The match will start on Tuesday June 29th, 2021 at 2:00pm EST.

The 5-match series is now 1-1 after South Africa bounced back to win yesterday’s match by 16 runs. South Africa were able to quickly adapt from the first game and compile a solid bowling performance to restrict the powerful West Indies batting line-up. On the other hand, West Indies would have gone back to the drawing board with hopes that all 3 departments can work hand in hand to win this go-ahead match. South Africa were dominant in the first innings of the second match with scores from their captain, Temba Bavuma, who scored 46, Reeza Hendricks with a classy 42 and Quinton de Kock with an opening cameo of 26 which propelled them to 166-7. George Linde, Tabraiz Shamsi and Anrich Nortje were economical with the ball and also picked up wickets along the way while Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi were expensive but the also collected a few scalps as well. South Africa will be looking to produce another solid performance to overcome the mighty West Indies.

The batting of the West Indians in the second match was far from what we have grown accustom to in the T20 format of the sport. Evin Lewis with 21 and Andre Fletcher with 35, provided another good start for the men in maroon but the middle order did not facilitate such an effort. Jason Holder along with Fabian Allen who scored 20 and 34 respectively showed great determination in the recovery providing hope for a comeback victory, but to no avail. The bowling unit have been solid thus far and we can only expect similar execution where they are concerned tomorrow.

The series is in the balance, both teams have given us quite a thrill and tomorrow will be no different. Tomorrow’s game however will go to West Indies, they have that “IT” factor to bring it home and lead the series 2-1.
