CFB DFS Draftkings Week 1, Daily Fantasy College Football Picks for Thursday 9/2/21

Draftkings Lineup
September 2, 2021 6:30 pm EDT

We have a nice slate of college football games on Thursday night and eight of those are included on the main slate of Draftkings and it kicks off at 6:30 PM ET.

Because of Draftkings rules, we will give you your core plays for your lineup and a couple of options for your final spots on your roster.

If there is late injury news, I will be posting updates on my Twitter (Shanemickle.)

Quarterback: Joe Milton III ($8300) – Joe Milton was inconsistent last season but he showed some flashes while he was at Michigan. This is a player that threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns against the Indiana Hoosiers. Milton also is a threat with his legs and a few games last year he rushed for over 50 yards. This game might be a blowout, but Milton should break value with his play in the first half.

Running Back: Mo Ibrahim ($8600) – Mo Ibrahim is going to be highly owned, but he needs to be in your lineup. Ibrahim still isn’t getting enough attention heading into the season, even though he is one of the best running backs in the league. Ohio State’s defense is good against the run, but Ibrahim has already found success against him. These two teams played in 2018 and Ibrahim rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Running Back: Dennis Merritt ($4900) – Dennis Merritt is going to be the starting running back for Eastern Washington and they have gotten his price wrong. He has had at least 14.5 fantasy points in each of his last two games.

Wide Receiver: Brevyn Spann-Ford ($3000) – Brevyn Spann-Ford is technically a tight end but is labeled as a wide receiver for fantasy purposes. There has been chatter around the Gophers program that Spann-Ford is going to have a much bigger role on this team. It will only take a few catches to blow by value.

Wide Receiver: Taji Hudson ($4400) – Taji Hudson is still learning to play wide receiver but he is an athlete and has playmaking ability. I expect East Carolina is going to be playing from behind, and Hudson will have plenty of opportunities to make plays.

Wide Receiver: Javonta Payton ($6200) – The Tennessee Volunteers are going to have no issues moving the ball against Bowling Green. Javonta Payton is listed as the starting wide receiver for Tennessee and he is going to have a big game, especially down the field.

Flex Plays: With Draftkings not allowing full lineups, let’s look at some other options to fill the rest of your lineup with the $14.600 still available. Bryan Thompson ($7300), Khalil Shakir ($6900), Master Teague III ($6700). Andrew Boston ($4300), Dillion Gabriel ($9100), C.J. Stroud ($8000), Hank Bachmeier ($6500), Brandon Schenks ($3900)
