This week, the PGA Tour presents golf fans with the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings picks for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Bank of Utah Championship.

Where will the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship be played?

The 2025 Bank of Utah Championship will be played at the Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,371 yards.

Matt McCarty won the 2024 Bank of Utah Championship with a cumulative four round score of 23 under par.

Will the Bank of Utah Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?

The 2025 Bank of Utah Championship will have a field of 132 competitors to start the tournament on Thursday. This event will have a cut after the completion of the first two rounds. The top 65 golfers and ties will make the cut.

Bank of Utah Championship Key Player Statistics

  • Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
  • Driving Accuracy
  • GIR (greens in regulation)
  • Strokes Gained: Approach
  • Bogey Avoidance
  • Birdie or Better Percentage
  • Strokes Gained: Par Fives

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

2024 Bank of Utah Championship Draftkings Picks

Michael Thorbjornsen $10,000

Michael Thorbjornsen has compiled six top 29 finishes in his last eight tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 Rocket Classic in June.

Kurt Kitayama $9,600

Since the beginning of July, Kurt Kitayama has played seven events on the PGA Tour. In those seven tournaments just mentioned, Kitayama amassed five top 20 finishes, including a win at 2025 3M Open in July.

Due to Kurt Kitayama’s quality win at the 2025 3M open, I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Kitayama fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 3M Open, in relation to the field, Kurt Kitayama ranked 13th in driving distance (314.6), seventh in GIR (greens in regulation-83.3%), seventh in putts per GIR (1.617), first in total birdies made (32) and tenth in bogey avoidance (9).

Additionally, Kurt Kitayama finished 25th at the 2024 Bank of Utah Championship.

Rico Hoey $9,300

Rico Hoey has amassed four top 11 finishes in his last eight tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the 2025 Baycurrent Classic earlier this month.

It is noteworthy that Rico Hoey has played relatively well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. More specifically, Hoey finished 21st at the 2024 Bank of Utah Championship.

Mac Meissner $8,000

Three weeks ago, Mac Meissner fired a final round 69 at the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship en route to an eventual 14th place finish. Meissner also finished 25th at the 2024 Bank of Utah Championship.

Takumi Kanaya $7,400

Takumi Kanaya arrives at this week’s event on the heels of four consecutive top 23 finishes (PGA and Japan Tours combined), including a win at the 2025 Ana Open four weeks ago.

Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 Bank of Utah Championship (Draftkings price noted): Christiaan Bezuidenhout $8,900: Matt McCarty $9,000: Max McGreevy $7,300: Dylan Wu $6,800.
