2025 Barracuda Championship
July 18, 2025 9:45 am EDT
This Friday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship. Let’s take a look at the second round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.
Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this PGA Tour event let’s review where the second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship will be played.
The 2025 Barracuda Championship will be played at the Tahoe Mountain Club (Old Greenwood Course) in Truckee, California. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,480 yards.
Nick Dunlap won the 2024 Barracuda Championship with a cumulative four round score of +49. *Let us not forget that the Barracuda Championship utilizes the Stableford scoring system.
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.
For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.
If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.
Here are my DraftKings picks for the second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship.
Draftkings Second Round Picks
Cameron Champ $10,400
Cameron Champ has amassed three top 19 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at last week’s 2025 ISCO Championship. Additionally, Champ finished 17th at the 2023 Barracuda Championship.
Upon the completion of this afternoon’s first round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship, Cameron Champ is tied for second place. In summary, I fully expect Cameron Champ to continue his outstanding play in tomorrow’s second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship.
Jackson Suber $7,400
Last month, Jackson Suber fired a final round 68 at the 2025 Rocket Classic en route to an eventual sixth-place finish. Clearly, Suber is playing quality golf entering tomorrow’s second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship.
Kevin Roy $9,100
Kevin Roy has accumulated three top 18 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Rocket Classic three weeks ago.
It should also be noted that Kevin Roy has played well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. More specifically, Roy finished 20th at the 2023 Barracuda Championship.
Andrew Putnam $8,300
The talented American has tallied two top eight finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive sixth-place result at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open last month.
Andrew Putnam finished 21st at the 2024 Barracuda Championship.
Austin Eckroat $8,400
Austin Eckroat has tallied two top 25 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at the John Deere Classic two weeks ago.
Mark Hubbard $8,800
Since the beginning of April, Mark Hubbard has played ten tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those ten events just mentioned, Hubbard compiled five top 28 finishes, including a fifth-place result at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May.
Additional golfers I like to perform well in the second round of the 2025 Barracuda Championship (Draftkings price noted): Rico Hoey $9,200: Beau Hossler $8,700: Patrick Rodgers $8,500: Doug Ghim $8,000: Seamus Power $7,700: Chandler Phillips $7,500.
