2025 BMW Championship
August 14, 2025 10:00 am EDT
This week, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the 2025 BMW Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a DFS perspective.
Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s BMW Championship.
Where will the 2025 BMW Championship be played?
The 2025 BMW Championship will be played at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland. This course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,601 yards.
Keegan Bradley won the 2024 BMW Championship with a cumulative four round score of 12 under par.
Will the BMW Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?
The 2025 BMW Championship will have a limited field of only 50 golfers. This event does not have a traditional cut after two rounds. All 50 golfers will compete in all four rounds of the event.
BMW Championship Key Player Statistics
- GIR (greens in regulation)
- Bogey Avoidance
- Strokes Gained: Around the Green
- Strokes Gained: Approach
- Birdie of Better Percentage
- Strokes Gained: Par Fives
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
BMW Championship Draftkings DFS Picks
Scottie Scheffler $13,400
The talented American arrives at this week’s event on the heels of 12 consecutive top eight finishes on the PGA Tour, including a rather impressive four wins (2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson: 2025 PGA Championship: 2025 Memorial Tournament: 2025 Open Championship). Additionally, Scheffler finished second at the 2024 BMW Championship.
Scottie Scheffler certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Scheffler is currently ranked first in strokes gained approach (1.292), first in par four scoring average (3.91), first in overall strokes gained (2.656), 12th in GIR (greens in regulation-70.59%), first in strokes gained off the tee (0.727) and first in bogey avoidance (10.78%) on the PGA Tour.
What did we learn from the data just presented? Clearly, Scottie Scheffler is a generational talent that is playing outstanding golf in 2025. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue at this week’s BMW Championship.
Ludvig Aberg $10,200
Ludvig Aberg arrives at this week’s second FedEx Cup playoff event in rather good form. Aberg has amassed two top nine finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at last week’s 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
It is noteworthy that Ludvig Aberg finished second at the 2024 BMW Championship.
Sungjae Im $8,000
Sungjae Im has amassed two consecutive top 27 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 17th place result at the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Kurt Kitayama $7,600
Kurt Kitayama has compiled four top 14 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 3M Open three weeks ago.
Brian Harman $6,900
Brian Harman has accumulated three top 22 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Travelers Championship in June. Harman finished fifth at the 2023 BMW Championship.
Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 BMW Championship (Draftkings price noted): Xander Schauffele $10,500: Patrick Cantlay $10,100: Sam Burns $9,300: J.T. Poston $6,700: Bud Cauley $6,300.
