On Monday afternoon, Major League Baseball presents the first game of a five-game National League series featuring the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs.
How are these two teams playing entering this MLB game? The Milwaukee Brewers arrive at the opening game of this five-game series with the Chicago Cubs playing good baseball. The Brewers have won 14 of the team’s last 15 games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a dominant 14-0 shutout victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates six days ago.
In direct contrast to the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs are playing subpar baseball entering this MLB game. More specifically, the Cubs have lost four of the team’s last seven games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 5-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays last week.

Starting pitcher Freddy Peralta has certainly been a solid contributor for the Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching rotation this season.
