Due to Rico Hoey’s impressive second place result at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Hoey fared relative to the field.
Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship, in relation to the field, Rico Hoey ranked 18th in driving distance (334.6), 17th in putts per GIR (1.690), second in total birdies made (25) and ninth in GIR (greens in regulation-80.6%).
It is also noteworthy that Rico Hoey has played well at the Port Royal Golf Course previously. Hoey finished 17th at the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Matti Schmid $9,400

Similar to Alex Smalley, Justin Lower has an exceptional record at this week’s PGA Tour event. Since 2021, Justin Lower has played the Butterfield Bermuda Championship four times. In those four events just noted, Lower tallied four top 17 finishes, including a fifth place result at the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
