2025 Charles Schwab Challenge
May 24, 2025 7:56 am EDT

This Saturday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the third round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge. Let’s take a look at the third round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for the third round of this week’s event let’s review where the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge will be played.

The 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge will be played at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The golf course is a par 70 that measures 7,289 yards.

*Davis Riley won the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge with a four round cumulative score of 14 under par.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.

For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.

Here are my DraftKings picks for the third round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.

Draftkings Third Round Picks

Tommy Fleetwood $10,200

Tommy Fleetwood has compiled two top seven finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 Truist Championship two weeks ago.

Fleetwood is currently ranked ninth in overall strokes gained (1.265), tenth in strokes gained tee to green (1.138), 12th in strokes gained approach (0.596), ninth in overall putting average (1.706), 11th in overall scoring average (70.24) and 11th in par four scoring average (3.97) on the PGA Tour.

Upon completion of this afternoon’s second round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge, Tommy Fleetwood is currently tied for seventh place with a cumulative two round score of six under par.

Ben Griffin $8,700

Last week, Ben Griffin fired a final round 69 at the 2025 PGA Championship en route to an eventual eighth place finish. With that said, I fully expect Griffin to continue his outstanding play in tomorrow’s third round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.

J.J. Spaun $8,400

J.J. Spaun has compiled three top 17 finishes in his last eight events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive second place result at the 2025 Players Championship in March.

Spaun is currently ranked 16th in overall strokes gained (1.003), fourth in strokes gained approach (0.827), 17th in strokes gained tee to green (0.916) and 13th in proximity to the hole (35’7) on the PGA Tour.

Mark Hubbard $7,100

Mark Hubbard arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of three consecutive top 12 finishes, including a fifth-place result at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson earlier this month.

It should also be noted that Mark Hubbard has posted a quality result at Colonial Country Club in the past. More specifically, Hubbard finished ninth at the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge.

Chris Gotterup $6,700

The talented American arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 18 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 15th place result at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson three weeks ago.

Additional golfers I like to perform well in the third round of the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge (Draftkings price noted): Scottie Scheffler $13,900: J.T. Poston $9,800: Emiliano Grillo $7,700: Matti Schmid $7,300: Doug Ghim $7,100: Brice Garnett $6,300.
