2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship
August 9, 2025 10:50 am EDT
This Saturday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the third round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship. Let’s take a look at the third round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.
Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this week’s event let’s review where the third round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship will be played.
The 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship will be played at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. This golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,243 yards.
Hideki Matsuyama won the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship with a cumulative four round score of 17 under par.
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.
For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.
If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.
Here are my DraftKings picks for the third round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Draftkings Third Round Picks
Tommy Fleetwood $10,200
Since the beginning of February, Tommy Fleetwood has played 14 events on the PGA Tour, in those 14 tournaments just noted, Fleetwood tallied nine top 21 finishes, including a second-place result at the 2025 Travelers Championship three weeks ago.
Fleetwood is currently ranked fourth in overall strokes gained (1.390), third in strokes gained tee to green (1.209), ninth in strokes gained approach (0.629) and 21st in par four scoring average (3.99) on the PGA Tour.
Upon the completion of Tommy Fleetwood’s second round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship, Fleetwood is currently in solo first place with a two round cumulative score of 13 under par.
In summary, I fully expect Tommy Fleetwood to continue his outstanding play in tomorrow’s third round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Kurt Kitayama $7,600
Kurt Kitayama has compiled three top 14 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2025 John Deere Classic five weeks ago.
Due to Kurt Kitayama’s quality finish at the 2025 John Deere Classic, I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Kitayama fared relative to the field.
Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 John Deere Classic, in relation to the field, Kurt Kitayama ranked second in driving distance (332.7), 23rd in total birdies made (20) and 12th in bogey avoidance (6).
In my view, Kurt Kitayama’s low Draftkings price of only $7,600 presents the best fantasy value on this PGA Tour Showdown DFS slate.
Brian Harman $7,400
Brian Harman arrives at this week’s FedEx Cup playoff event in rather good form. Harman has amassed two top ten finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Travelers Championship in June. Additionally, Harman finished third at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Additional golfers I like to perform well in the third round of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship (Draftkings price noted): Scottie Scheffler $13,400: Ludvig Aberg $9,300: Justin Rose $7,200: Bud Cauley $7,000: Andrew Novak $6,900.
