This week, the PGA Tour presents Draftkings golf fans with the 2025 John Deere Classic. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a DFS perspective.
Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 John Deere Classic.
Where will the 2025 John Deere Classic be played?
The 2025 John Deere Classic will be played at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,289 yards.
TPC Deere Run has been the host golf course for the John Deere Classic since the event’s debut in 2000.
Davis Thompson won the 2024 John Deere Classic with a cumulative four round score of 28 under par.
Will the John Deere Classic have a traditional cut after two rounds?
The John Deere Classic will have a field of 156 players to start the tournament on Thursday. Upon the completion of two rounds, a cut will occur. The top 65 golfers (including ties) will make the cut.
John Deere Classic Key Player Statistics

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
2025 John Deere Classic Draftkings DFS Picks
Michael Thorbjornsen $9,100
Michael Thorbjornsen has amassed two top four finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at last week’s 2025 Rocket Classic.
Due to Michael Thorbjornsen’s impressive finish at the Rocket Classic, I decided to take a hard look at the player data from the event to see how Thorbjornsen fared relative to the field.
Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Rocket Classic, in relation to the field, Michael Thorbjornsen ranked 20th in GIR (greens in regulation-77.8%), fifth in driving accuracy (78.6%), eighth in driving distance (324.3), fourth in total birdies made (25) and 17th in bogey avoidance (6).
Michael Thorbjornsen has played well at TPC Deere Run in the past. More specifically, Thorbjornsen finished second at the 2024 John Deere Classic.
Chris Kirk $8,900
Chris Kirk arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 12 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 12th place result at the 2025 U.S. Open three weeks ago. Kirk also finished 21st at the 2023 John Deere Classic.
Nico Echavarria $7,800
The talented Columbian has tallied two top 25 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2025 Rocket Classic.
Mark Hubbard $7,700
Since the beginning of April, Mark Hubbard has played eight events on the PGA Tour. In those eight tournaments just noted, Hubbard amassed five top 28 finishes, including a seventh-place result at the 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic last month.
Kevin Roy $7,400
Kevin Roy has compiled two top 18 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 18th place result at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open earlier this month.
Additional golfers I like to perform well this week (Draftkings price noted): Davis Thompson $9,600: Kevin Yu $8,800: Ben Griffin $10,400: Jake Knapp $9,400: Hayden Springer $6,900.
