This week, the PGA Tour presents Draftkings golf fans with the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a DFS perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf courses the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Where will the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open be played?

The 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open will be played at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,261 yards.

Nick Taylor won the 2024 Waste Management Open with a four round cumulative score of 21 under par.

It should be noted that TPC Scottsdale sits at about 1,250 feet above sea level. Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this PGA Tour DFS slate.

Waste Management Phoenix Open Key Player Statistics

  • Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
  • Strokes Gained: Approach
  • Strokes Gained: Off the Tee
  • GIR (greens in regulation)
  • Birdie or Better Percentage
  • Strokes Gained: Putting
  • Bogey Avoidance

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open Draftkings Picks

Scottie Scheffler $12,000

Last week, Scottie Scheffler fired a final round 67 at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am en route to an eventual ninth place finish.

Due to Scottie Scheffler’s quality finish at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Scheffler fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, in relation to the field, Scottie Scheffler ranked first in strokes gained approach (1.17), sixth in GIR (greens in regulation-75%) and third in bogey avoidance (5).

Scottie Scheffler certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Let me be more specific. Since 2021, Scheffler has played the Waste Management Phoenix Open four times. In those four tournaments just noted, Scheffler compiled four top seven finishes, including two wins (2022, 2023).

Sam Burns $10,000

Since the beginning of August, Sam Burns has played eight events on the PGA Tour. In those eight tournaments just mentioned, Burns has tallied six top 14 finishes, including an eighth-place finish at the 2025 Sentry last month.

Sungjae Im $9,800

Sungjae Im has accumulated three top nine finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at 2024 Farmers Insurance Open two weeks ago.

Nick Taylor $8,400

The talented Canadian has amassed two top 12 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 Sony Open last month.

Nick Taylor has posted a quality result at TPC Scottsdale in the past. Taylor won the 2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Charley Hoffman $7,200

Charley Hoffman has accumulated three top 30 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fifth-place result at the 2025 American Express three weeks ago.

Additionally, Hoffman finished second at the 2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Harry Hall $7,700

Harry Hall has tallied six top 21 finishes in his last seven events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Sentry in January.

Additional golfers I like to perform well this week (Draftkings price noted): Justin Thomas $10,500: Tom Kim $9,600: Adam Hadwin $6,900: Tom Hoge $7,400: Nick Dunlap $7,000: Brian Harman $8,200.
