Draftkings Best 2024 Puerto Rico Open Player Selections

This week, the PGA Tour travels to the beautiful shores of Puerto Rico for the 2024 Puerto Rico Open.

The 2024 Puerto Rico Open will be played at the Grand Reserve Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,506 yards.

Brandon Wu $9,000

Brandon Wu has accumulated two top 18 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including a 13th place result at the 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta.

In relation to this week’s currently listed 2024 Puerto Rico Open field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Brandon Wu ranks 12th in GIR (greens in regulation) and 20th in birdie or better percentage.

Brandon Wu also finished third at the 2022 Puerto Rico Open.

Henrik Norlander $7,300

Two weeks ago, Henrik Norlander fired a third round 65 at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta en route to an eventual 13th place finish.

Due to Norlander’s quality finish at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta, I decided to take a hard look at the player statistics for the tournament to see how Norlander fared relative to the field.

Upon completion of four rounds of competitive golf at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta, Henrik Norlander ranked second in strokes gained putting (7.3), first in bogey avoidance (5.8), and 13th in par four efficiency.

I should also note that I absolutely love Norlander’s Draftkings price ($7,300). Norlander’s low price point provides my lineup needed salary relief.

Martin Trainer $6,800

Martin Trainer arrives at this week’s 2024 Puerto Rico Open on the heels of three consecutive top 19 finishes (PGA and Korn Ferry Tours combined), including an eighth place result at the 2024 Astara Golf Championship last month.

Martin Trainer has played well at the Grand Reserve Country Club previously. Trainer won the 2019 Puerto Rico Open.

Similar to Norlander, Trainer arrives on the Draftkings slate at a cost of only $6,800. That is great value.
