Draftkings Best RBC Heritage First Round Picks 4/17/25

2025 RBC Heritage
April 17, 2025 8:00 am EDT

This Thursday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the first round of the 2025 RBC Heritage. Let’s take a look at the first round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s review where the first round of the 2025 RBC Heritage will be played.

The 2025 RBC Heritage will be played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,213 yards.

*Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 RBC Heritage with a four round cumulative score of 19 under par.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.

For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.

Here are my DraftKings player selections for the first round of the 2025 RBC Heritage.

Draftkings RBC Heritage First Round Picks

Daniel Berger $8,400

Since the beginning of January, Daniel Berger has played ten events on the PGA Tour. In those ten tournaments just mentioned, Berger has compiled seven top 25 finishes, including an impressive second-place result at the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open in February.

Due to Berger’s quality result at the Waste Management Phoenix Open I decided to take a hard look at the player data from the event to see how Berger fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Waste Management Phoenix Open, in relation to the field, Daniel Berger ranked third in driving accuracy (69.6%), sixth in overall putting average (1.673), eighth in total birdies made (20) and 19th in bogey avoidance (7).

Berger has posted a quality result at the Harbour Town Golf Link in the past. More specifically, Berger finished third at the 2020 RBC Heritage.

Jason Day $8,800

The talented Australian has tallied two top eight finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at last week’s 2025 Masters Tournament.

In summary, I fully expect Jason Day to continue his outstanding play in tomorrow’s first round of the 2025 RBC Heritage.

Viktor Hovland $8,600

Viktor Hovland has accumulated three top 22 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 Valspar Championship last month. Additionally, Hovland finished 21st at the 2020 RBC Heritage.

Brian Harman $7,100

The 2023 Open champion has compiled four top 25 finishes in his last ten tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 Valero Texas Open two weeks ago.

Brian Harman certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Let me be more specific. Since 2014, Brian Harman has played the RBC Heritage 11 times. In those 11 tournaments, Harman has amassed seven top 28 finishes, including a seventh-place result at the 2023 RBC Heritage.

Additional golfers I like to perform well in the first round (Draftkings price noted): Shane Lowry $9,100: Patrick Cantlay $9,900: Justin Thomas $9,700: Denny McCarthy $8,100: Jacob Bridgeman $6,900.
