Draftkings Best RBC Heritage First Round Picks 4/18/24

This Thursday, the PGA Tour presents the first round of the 2024 RBC Heritage. Let’s take a look at this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s take a look at where the first round of the RBC Heritage will be played.

The 2024 RBC Heritage will be played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,213 yards.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my DraftKings player selections for the first round of the 2024 RBC Heritage.

Draftkings Player Picks

Matt Fitzpatrick $9,600

The 2022 United States Open winner arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 22 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2024 Players Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s 2024 RBC Heritage field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Matt Fitzpatrick ranks fourth in strokes gained putting, sixth in birdie or better percentage, and 13th in strokes gained on par fours.

Matt Fitzpatrick certainly checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Since 2018, Fitzpatrick has played the RBC Heritage six times. In those six tournaments just mentioned, Fitzpatrick has accumulated four top 14 finishes, including a win at the 2023 RBC Heritage.

Cameron Young $9,300

The talented American has accumulated two consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2024 Valspar Championship.

In relation to this week’s 2024 RBC Heritage field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Cameron Young ranks fifth in in GIR (greens in regulation), fifth in strokes gained approach, 12th in strokes gained tee to green, and second in birdies or better percentage.

Cameron Young has played well at the Harbour Town Golf Links in the past. Young finished third at the 2022 RBC Heritage.

Taylor Moore $7,800

Taylor Moore has accumulated two top 12 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive second-place result at the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open three weeks ago.

Moore also finished 11th at the 2023 RBC Heritage.

Adam Schenk $7,000

Adam Schenk has accumulated three top 19 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2024 Valero Texas Open two weeks ago.
