Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Rocket Classic.
Where will the 2025 Rocket Classic be played?
The 2025 Rocket Classic will be played at the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,370 yards.
The Detroit Golf Club has hosted the Rocket Classic since the tournament’s debut on the PGA Tour schedule in 2019.
*Cam Davis won the 2024 Rocket Classic with a cumulative four round score of 18 under par.
Will the Rocket Classic have a traditional cut after two rounds?
The Rocket Classic will have a field of 156 players to start the tournament on Thursday. Upon the completion of two rounds a cut will occur. The top 65 golfers (including ties) will make the cut.

2025 Rocket Classic Draftkings DFS Picks
Patrick Cantlay $10,200
Patrick Cantlay has amassed three top 13 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the 2025 Truist Championship last month.
Cantlay is currently ranked 14th in strokes gained approach (0.537), third in GIR (greens in regulation-70.73%), ninth in strokes gained tee to green (1.009), 17th in birdie or better percentage (23.82%), and 11th in overall strokes gained (1.116) on the PGA Tour.
Patrick Cantlay has posted a quality result at the Detroit Golf Club in the past. More specifically, Cantlay finished second at the 2022 Rocket Classic,
Ben Griffin $9,800
The talented American arrives at this week’s event on the heels of five consecutive top 14 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge five weeks ago.
Griffin is currently ranked 17th in GIR (greens in regulation-69.29%), 15th in total strokes gained (1.007), 20th in overall scoring average (69.83) and third in total birdies made (281) on the PGA Tour.
What did we learn from the data just presented? Clearly, Ben Griffin is playing at a high-level entering this week’s 2025 Rocket Mortgage Classic. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue in Detroit later this week.
Cameron Young $9,300
Cameron Young has compiled four top 25 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 U.S. Open two weeks ago. Additionally, Young finished sixth at the 2024 Rocket Classic.
Rickie Fowler $8,700
Rickie Fowler has tallied two top 16 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2025 Memorial Tournament four weeks ago.
It should also be noted that Fowler won the 2024 Rocket Classic.
Emiliano Grillo $7,400
Grillo has accumulated three top 20 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 16th place result at the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge.
