October 2, 2025 8:00 am EDT
This week, the PGA Tour presents golf fans with the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.
Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Where will the Sanderson Farms Championship be played?
The 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship will be played at the Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,461 yards.
Kevin Yu won the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship with a cumulative four round score of 23 under par.
Will the Sanderson Farms Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?
The Sanderson Farms Championship will have a field of 132 competitors to start the tournament on Thursday. This event will have a cut after the completion of the first two rounds. The top 65 golfers and ties will make the cut.
Sanderson Farms Championship Key Player Statistics
- Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
- GIR (greens in regulation)
- Strokes Gained: Approach
- Bogey Avoidance
- Birdie or Better Percentage
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
Sanderson Farms Championship Draftkings Picks
Min Woo Lee $9,800
The talented Australian arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 11 finishes on the DP World Tour, including a fifth-place result at the 2025 FedEx Open de France two weeks ago.
Due to Min Woo Lee’s quality finish at the 2025 FedEx Open de France, I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Lee fared relative to the field.
Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 FedEx Open de France, in relation to the field, Min Woo Lee ranked 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-76.39%), first in strokes gained tee to green (2.56), 17th in strokes gained approach (1.07), fifth in par four scoring average (3.86), seventh in bogey avoidance (8) and tenth in total birdies made (19).
What did we learn from the data just presented? Min Woo Lee is currently playing golf at a high-level on the DP World Tour. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue at this week’s 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Emiliano Grillo $9,300
Emiliano Grillo has tallied two top 20 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 Procore Championship earlier this month.
It is noteworthy that Emiliano Grillo has played well at the Country Club of Jackson in the past. Grillo finished fifth at the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Rico Hoey $9,000
Rico Hoey has amassed three top 11 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th-place result at the 2025 Barracuda Championship in July.
Sami Valimaki $7,400
Sami Valimaki has accumulated two top eight finishes in his last three events played on the DP World Tour, including an impressive second place result at the 2025 Omega European Masters four weeks ago.
Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship (Draftkings price noted): Akshay Bhatia $10,100: Mackenzie Hughes $8,700: Beau Hossler $8,000: Seamus Power $7,000: Henrik Norlander $6,900: Hayden Springer $7,200.
