2025 Travelers Championship
June 19, 2025 8:00 am EDT
This week, the PGA Tour travels to Connecticut for the 2025 Travelers Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.
Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Travelers Championship.
Where will the 2025 Travelers Championship be played?
The 2025 Travelers Championship will be played at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. The golf course is a par 70 that measures 6,835 yards.
Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 Travelers Championship with a cumulative four round score of 22 under par.
Will the Travelers Championship have a traditional cut?
The 2025 Travelers Championship will not have a traditional cut due to the PGA Tour designating this tournament as a “signature” event prior to the start of the 2025 season. The Travelers Championship will have a limited field of only 72 golfers. All 72 players will play all four rounds of this event.
Travelers Championship Key Player Statistics
- Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
- Strokes Gained: Approach
- GIR (greens in regulation)
- Strokes Gained: Putting
- Strokes Gained: Par Fours
- Birdie of Better Percentage
2025 Travelers Championship Draftkings Picks
Collin Morikawa $10,200
Collin Morikawa has tallied eight top 20 finishes in his last 11 tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 Truist Championship last month. Morikawa also finished 13th at the 2024 Travelers Championship.
Viktor Hovland $9,000
Viktor Hovland has compiled six top 28 finishes in his last seven events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive win at the 2025 Valspar Championship in March.
Hovland is currently ranked sixth in strokes gained approach (0.748), 15th in proximity to the hole (35’7) and 20th in birdie or better percentage (23.81%) on the PGA Tour.
It is noteworthy that Hovland has posted a quality result at TPC Highlands in the past. More specifically, Hovland finished 11th at the 2020 Travelers Championship.
Ben Griffin $8,100
Ben Griffin has amassed four top ten finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge four weeks ago. Clearly, the American is playing outstanding golf arriving at this week’s event. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue in Connecticut this week.
Daniel Berger $7,500
Since the beginning of March, Daniel Berger has played 11 events on the PGA Tour. In those 11 tournaments just noted, Berger has accumulated six top 25 finishes, including a third-place result at the 2025 RBC Heritage in April.
Daniel Berger certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Let me be more specific. Berger is currently ranked 15th in overall strokes gained (1.020), seventh in strokes gained tee to green (1.048), 23rd in proximity to the hole (36’1), 12th in driving accuracy (67.98%), 18th in overall scoring average (70.25) and 17th in par four scoring average (3.99) on the PGA Tour.
Nick Taylor $6,900
The talented Canadian arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 Memorial Tournament three weeks ago.
In my opinion, Nick Taylor’s low Draftkings price of only $6,900 presents the best fantasy value on this PGA Tour DFS slate.
Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 Travelers Championship (Draftkings price noted): Scottie Scheffler $13,300: Xander Schauffele $10,800: Keegan Bradley $8,500: Russell Henley $8,800: Tony Finau $7,700.
