The 2021 Masters winner arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 12 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2024 Genesis Invitational in February.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2024 Valero Texas Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Hideki Matsuyama ranks seventh in strokes gained approach, ninth in strokes gained off the tee, fifth in GIR (greens in regulation), sixth in birdie or better percentage, and second in bogey avoidance.

Hideki Matsuyama has posted quality results at the TPC San Antonio in the past. Matsuyama finished 15th at the 2023 Valero Texas Open.

Billy Horschel $8,900
